Homol’ovi Ruins State Park protects at least 300 archaeological sites including major 13th and 14th century communities. Pueblos, petroglyphs, and ceramic artifacts are found here along with abundant wildlife.

The Visitors’ Center sits at the hub of four trails providing access to ruins and other sites. The half-mile long, wheel chair accessible Homol’ovi II trial walks visitors to a ruined Pueblo while the Dine’ Point trail offers a scenic view of the park. The Tsu'vö Trail is a half-mile loop past milling stone areas and petroglyphs, and the 1.2-mile Nusungvö trail leads out across high prairie grasslands.

A well developed campground provides lodging in the park. More comprehensive services are found in hamlets along Interstate 40 on the southern edge of the park.

The Anasazi Guide is loaded with information that will make your visit even more enjoyable. Chapter 16 includes directions, summarizes the Anasazi occupation, describes important archeological research, and offers suggestions  for making the most of your visit.
